About Us

The Sumter County Developmental Disabilities Foundation, Inc. was established in January 1996, as a nonprofit organization to assist the Sumter County Disabilities and Special Needs Board (SCDSNB) in fund raising and obtaining financial support from the Sumter Community.

The scope was revised in 2016 to benefit children and adults of Sumter County with intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism.

& Silent Auction

The Foundation will host the sixth annual Sumter Disabilities Benefit Gala on Thursday, April 9, 2020. The success of our fund-raising event will come from corporate sponsors and offering attractive silent auction items for bid, and we believe that a sponsorship from you will help us reach our goal.

The Sumter County Developmental Disabilities Foundation was established in 1996 and is a non-profit tax-exempt organization with the sole purpose of raising funds for the benefit of intellectually and developmentally disabled children and adults of Sumter County.

The foundation relies on the success of fundraisers to assist in providing the best possible services to those in need. We expect the attendance at this year’s event to be 450+.

Please click here to submit your sponsorship. If you have any questions about the event or would like more information about the Sumter County residents with special needs who are served, do not hesitate to contact Shelly Brown at 803-968-0024.

Thank you for your support!
